I dont have that many original ambrotypes as they tend to go for silly money on Feepay. Heres one I managed to get cheaply probably because its without a case and in a pretty scuffed condition but even with all of that you can appreciate the quality of the plate.
I think it also adds to the character of the image, its nearing 150 year old and looks to have had a fairly rough time of it. I’ll keep it safe.
