Somehow, Steph and I will be attending this years European Collodion Weekend, 4th & 5th May 2013.
Kindly organised by Alex Timmermans following last years successful event.
This year he hopes to get together over 40 International wet plate photographers over two days in Veldhoven. Each bringing their own cameras, chemistry and darkrooms. I think its going to be quite a weekend.
So, the question is, what is the collective noun for a gathering of wet plate photographers??
Now I just have to sort out some reliable transport, especially as the ferry fare for a van is three times that of a car? So goodbye LDV Cub and hello Berlingo/Kangoo/Doblo….
Check out Alexs excellent work on his website.
Collodionists?
I was thinking more of a collective noun like a “clot of Haematologists” or a “palette of artists”?
Good try though.
Well, normal photographers who use shutters, would be a clique. Clearly doesn’t apply here…
Hi Charles,
Very good. How about a “Stain of wet plate photographers”?
Hope you are well,
Tony
Hello,
Wish I could go. There should be an event in the US on the west coast. Have fun!
Thanks Jessee, just trying to get the funds together at the moment.
