The cats have taken the hint and are now leaving their kills outside of the catflap, so no more surprises on the carpet. The downside is that when they do bring something back it tends to get wet pretty quick. We seem to be having less voles and have had a couple of mice that have been a little too rotten to pick up, but they did leave me this poor looking sparrow.
These are quarter plate ambortypes and tintypes. f 5.6 for 4 minutes. The preceding ambrotypes were test plates for the following tintype, so I’ve included them also.
Hopefully the vole population will recover somewhat by next Spring.
Really beautiful work! I never thought on exposing tintype as a normal photographic paper, but of course, why not and the result is fantastic.
