I’ve been looking for a way of showing plates either at home or for other display purposes. Framing seems a little formal and detracts somewhat from the plate as framing can be a very personal choice.
The plate stands that I have seen in the past tend to look cumbersome and sometimes overly ornate. I wanted something simple and clean.
Found these that come in three different sizes and in packs of two. This is a small size stand holding a tintype plate out of the box brownie.

They also sell brass wall hanging clips which might be of use, I’ll give them a go next time I’d like to wall mount a plate.
