Picked up this lens last weekend. Its an Air Ministry 36 inch 6.3 lens and it weighs a whopping 8.5Kg. Aperture ring is working, so from f6.3 to f16.
Solid brass (overpainted) not sure if I should strip it back to the metal, I didn’t pay much for it.
No idea what I’m going to do with it but boy is it a conversation piece.
Nephew – “You should see my new HD Apple camera phone!”
Me – “Thats nothing, you should see my new lens!”
Ha ha ha! Fantastic. My envy increases with each post!
And that ones been sold on also……to another wet plate photographer,Marizu, who is making a 24×24 camera…eventually.
