Today is the UK general cinema release of “The Limehouse Golem<\/a>“, an adaptation of Peter Ackroyds novel “Dan Leno and the Limehouse Golem”.<\/p>\n

Directed by Juan Carlos Medina<\/a>, Screenplay by Jane Goldman<\/a> and Produced by Stephen Wooley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Starring Bill Nighy<\/a>, Olivia Cooke<\/a>, Douglas Booth<\/a> and Daniel Mays<\/a> amongst many others. Alan Rickman<\/a> was originally cast but became too unwell to continue with the project and sadly passed away in January 2016.<\/p>\n

“The city of London is gripped with fear as a serial killer \u2013 dubbed The Limehouse Golem \u2013 is on the loose and leaving cryptic messages written in his victim\u2019s blood. With few leads and increasing public pressure, Scotland Yard assigns the case to Inspector Kildare (Nighy) \u2013 a seasoned detective with a troubled past and a sneaking suspicion he\u2019s being set up to fail. Faced with a long list of suspects, including music hall star Dan Leno (Booth), Kildare must get help from a witness who has legal troubles of her own (Cooke) so he can stop the murders and bring the killer to justice.” –<\/em> rljentertainment<\/p>\n

Its been two years since my first involvement with this movie. I was asked not to post any details to social media or to my blog until now, sworn to secrecy as such. I’ll not be revealing any spoilers or twists either so you’ll just have to go to the cinema and see it for yourselves.<\/p>\n
