There&#8217;s no indication of who this sitter is and I&#8217;ve check the V&amp;A and the NPG collections online just in case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Somebody may recognise her. Although Hollyers pjotographic career spanned many decades, he reserved Mondays specifically for portraiture. So lets say every Monday for 30 years&#8230; thats not that many portraits really in the grand scheme of things. And his sitters tended to be quite well known artists, writers, dignitaries and their close family members. So there could be a good chance of someone recognising this particular sitter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/fourtoes.co.uk\/iblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/\/2025\/10\/1000081015.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25653\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fourtoes.co.uk\/iblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1000081015.jpg 800w, https:\/\/fourtoes.co.uk\/iblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1000081015-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/fourtoes.co.uk\/iblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1000081015-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/fourtoes.co.uk\/iblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/1000081015-520x390.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have the usual red signature and address on the reverse. And something I hadn&#8217;t realised until Steph pointed it out, is that its actually stamped and not manuscript. Each one is identical. So that&#8217;s five for now. They pop up.on Ebay an at antique fairs now and again so I&#8217;ll keep my eye open for some more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Theres a couple on Ebay at the moment without the gold border but with the Hollyer stamp.
