In my quest for a rotten Kodak No.4A I found this falling apart Kodak No.4, so 5×4 inches instead of halfplate size.
The leatherette was falling off all the metal parts and the wood underneath was mouldy in places. Now, some people might think my actions a little barbaric but I’ve stripped it right back to its base materials.
At least it can now be used as a camera again albeit for wet plate.
