I shot 4 clear glass plates here at Butts Mill in Leigh and managed to scratch every one of them, so decided to shoot a tintype….now I don’t know if its just me but tin seems a heck of a lot less hassle than glass.
A couple of young lads on pushbikes were playing nearby and came over to ask what I was up to, they genuinely seemed very interested in the process and I chatted to them for a good 40 minutes. I would have taken a portrait of them all but in todays climate of dodgy doings I wasn’t too sure.
