VDB contrast control

I wasn’t best pleased with my last lot of Van Dyke Brown prints so thought I’d have another go with some contrast control this time. The last lot were a little flat. These are from clear glass ambrotypes and not digital negs.

Printed on Daler Rowney Aquafine Smooth 300g/m2.

I added two drops of 1% Potassium Dichromate to 15 drops of sensitiser, paper coated with a sponge, exposed for 7 minutes, washed in tap water (ph6) and fixed in Sodium Thiosulphate.

I think just the one drop of contrast control would have done the job.
