The old Kodak VPC has had a roll of EFKE 100 put through it just to see how they’d come out. Here’s a pic of the back yard. Think I’ll be using this viewpoint for all my tests.
Looks like theres quite a bit of light leakage somewhere, although the bellows seemed light tight. Every frame had some sort of fogging. Also the ammount of paint flecks etc on the negs probably from the bellows deteriorating. Oh well, I suppose its not surprising for a camera of that age.
Also I’m not sure if the EFKE is any where near the same quality as the Kodak Panchromatic film.
So now got 9 spare rolls of 127 in the fridge.
I think you’re right about the Efke not being anywhere near the quality of Kodak’s films. Too bad that you can’t get Kodak in 127 size anymore though. My favorite films in that speed range are 100 TMax and 125 Plus-X. Can’t eat ’em in my opinion. The 100TMax is especially nice if you need a good straight line curve. If you expose for the shadows, it will still hold detail in the highlights to an extraordinary extent without blowing them out.
