Match book cases…

After shooting the small 25mm plates and placing them into pendant mounts I started to look around for what else I could re-appropriate as frames or mounts for small plates.
I bought a couple of old match book holders and cigarette cases and I think they will do the job nicely, especially the match book cases, they’re a real nice size to fit in a pocket or purse.

These are just some mock ups for how the tins and glass plates might fit, the match cases are roughly all the same size so it should be straight forward enough to make a plate insert for the camera. So I’m keeping my eyes open for a few more of these, if you’ve got any laying around in a drawer and fancy donating them then let me know, much appreciated.

The two portraits are Victorian tintypes that happen to fit, so this size must have been a standard at the time.
