Testing Pano

I’m testing embedding Ricoh Theta 360 panoramas, in case you click on my blog and see this post, its here temporarily. I didn’t want to embed into Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc although Google Streetview is tempting if I could figure out how to do it post capture and not at the time of shooting.

With WordPress sites wether it be .org or .com you have to use an “embed code” plugin to get it to work, and then it doesn’t offer the full screen option, you have to click the Theta icon and it takes you to the pano hosted on their website, there you can access the fullscreen option. There must be a way around it, probably by using another Pano software and exporting it as a different file. It would also be great if it offered the VR versions with your mobile phone or tablet… Why do they make it so difficult?

Click play, use your mouse to look around, zoom in and zoom out (interesting) and use the other button to reset (depending what device you use)…. Clicking on the Theta logo will take you to the host site where you can access the fullscreen view…

And this one with the Cardboard Plugin… the movement is backwards and the full screen doesn’t work.
